Epic location and I wish I had a week to fly just that one spot but all I had was enough time for one flight. This is the mountain from my last year's Taseko Lakes 2019 Video1 where I'm standing on the very peak, awesome feeling. Every year me and a group of friends go to Taseko Lakes for a weekend of fun. It's located in a very remote area on the coastal mountain range in the Cariboo/Chilcotin region of BC. From Vancouver for me it is about 16-18hrs of driving, around 1/3 of the total time it's off-road. We are many miles from the nearest village and in total isolation from civilization. I love the trip every year, I a...

Sick. Can you drive down into the canyon?
Although I haven't tried it, if you look at Google Earth it looks like you can
Those things used to creep me out as a child... Actually they still worry me and I'm 26 years old. You're very brave to swim with the jellyfish.
the smaller Moon jellyfish are pretty harmless, I think The only one to really stay away from are the giant Lions Mane, and I took extra care to stay away from those long stingers
Great video and I see this was back in 2020, have you been back out there since? I heard last year the gate was out and the ministry did some work on the road as far as fishem. There are also rumors that there will be bridge maintenance or replacement so the Pellair site can be cleaned up. The bridges as of last year looked passable aside from the tchekazan which I believe is at the end of the airstrip and was looking pretty rotten and missing deck planks on the one approach last year when Destination Adventure was in there. Do you have any knowledge of access up the other side of Taseko via the Beece Creek FSR up to Red mountain area as I heard the ministry deactivated it in 2021 and 6KM past the lodge is no longer accessible?
Hey No we haven't been to the west side since 2020, sadly. And the last time we made it down the east side was 2017 I think. Although a friend of mine did manage to get in around Beece Creek FSR on dirtbikes, but with some bog/mud pushing and said it was quite a lot of work.I hope our group makes it in there again, especially on the east side as we have been going down there every year since 2005.
Apparently Taseko Lake lodge is doing everything possible to keep people out on both sides, but that is just rumor I hear.
Spectacular drone video,.. WHERE"S THE ^bleeping^ LIKE BUTTON???
amazing location, I can't wait to go back there
I was there in the summer of 1954, when it was called the Whitewater Lodge and owned by a fellow from Tacoma Washington named Bill Gemmell. It took the better part of a day in a 4 wheel drive vehicle to get there. I think the shed at 5.05 in the video was there then, the original lodge to the right.
Here after destination adventures new video
too many 360's dude - you makin me dizzy
😉😁
cool video. back in the day i worked out of the camp at the north end of the lake
Furthest I ever got was to 4x4 to the end of Lost Creek FSR goo.gl/maps/kna5iFM6GTmXe8h36
@@EricMilewski back when i worked there you had to take a jet boat to the camp
OMG, epic video😍😍😍😍😍
epic location, I hope to go back there some day
That's not earth rotation that camra is fixed on the sky that's moving the camra is following the stars fixed on an equatorial mount fix to GPS rotation.the ground does not move. Iv tested this it's an illusion of the ground becouse the camra follows or tracks what's moving and goes to the ground.
the earth spins on an axis, so relative to the sky it is the earth that is rotating
Hey Eric, I just have a few questions about the area if you don’t mind.
Ok, shoot
@@EricMilewski haha pretty much figured it out. Was wondering on the access into taseko but pretty much figured it out, she’s a no go.
@@J_bish87 east side is probably gone for good, sadly. West side i last head there was a bypass to get through the gate to drive down to Fishem Lake and beyond
@@EricMilewski ah thanks ok, that’s too bad.
@@EricMilewski never been to the area but looks unreal. Why is access gone on the east side?
beautiful view , good video , I just came back from that's area . yes ,will go there again . cheers .
yeah I love the areas around Taseko lakes. Where have you been, east or west side of the lake?
Awesome views, Eric....your drone skills are fantastic...!! My Great Uncle is buried on Taseko Mountain - did you happen to see a cairn or marker anywhere in your travels...??
I guess it wasn't obvious for us that it was what we were looking at, but there definitely was human activity at some of the peaks.
Can you take a boat across?
Hmm... I'm not sure, though there is no place to 'register' or anything so I would have to say I doubt it
@@EricMilewski beautiful area! I imagine the coast guards patrol there night and day pretty heavy..? How do you tell where the boarder is when you’re on the lake?
@@greywhiteman1944 border is pretty much at the northern tip of the lake, you can actually see the cutline in the video
my truck is parked like 100ft from the border
@@EricMilewski sorry I meant to write border patrol. That’s pretty cool! I might have to book a camping trip out there.
The mounting file gopro on thingivers?
I'm not sure. I just put my camera in the slot on the front and used duct-tape to secure it ;)
Ok..thanks Happy flying dude👊😎
Wicked. I wonder what is the max. speed when zooming down the ridge.
I guess it would be faster then freefall
Cool video, beautiful spot. Can you get there by vehicle?
Wow Eric 😳 just incredible 🥰 felt like I was right there man 😎✌️❤️ Thanks for the ride
Glad you like it
The speed and agility with your drone just brings an extra element to the footage. Awesome 👌
Thanks!
Beautiful video! The colour of the water is so incredible. I will definitely have to visit next summer :)
Oh yeah, the Chilcotin area of BC especially around Taseko lakes is really cool
Beautiful scenery and excellent piloting skills! What are you flying, a 7"?
Thanks, I'm flying an AirbladeUAV Transformer, but I prefer 6" props to get a bit smoother video
Very cool
Where is this?
Our local MAAC field in Coquitlam wcrcaf.com/wcrcafv2/?page_id=35
It's amazing how well your videos look in a single take. Normally, you'd like to cut the material, but your movements are so well choreographed, no cuts are needed. I could benefit from a couple FPV lessons, my Transformer drone and GoPro 6 are collecting dust.
Hehe, it always helps when the area you are flying in is so great. Same as taking pictures of pretty girls, makes the while job that much easier ;)
Amazing brother!
Thanks!
Wow beautiful! Maybe next year Aaron and I can make it out!
that would be great, my wife is starting to break too ;)
Nice scenary 👍
beautiful mountain landscape
it was quite incredible to be there in real life

@@c.j.829 yup, one needs to be there to get the full picture fo sure
Wow, what a beautiful location! The ridge lines are amazing.

@@danyel3901 if i baby it i can push 10min But in real life when flying up/down a mountain like that it usuay is safe for about 6min
awesome place to fly
So wanted to go this year.
Hopefully next year will work out for ya
Is this the main trail along the lake?
Well done on this one 🤯🙌
Absolutely Stunning!
Beautiful!
Seeing your FPV feed really shows the stabilize! Nice
awesome
Wow 😯 that is impressive 😎✌️
Wow, wing footage actually looks...good!
I wish the day was sunny, but yes the stabilization works really great (y) Gonna have to do it again, you wanna join for a trip? ;)
Were you able to watch in HD? I don't think UA-cam processing is done yet, should've waited before I posted to Facebook.
@@EricMilewski no, watched in SD, but got the idea across

@@EricMilewski Just watched your other videos. Great work. Cheers!
Awesome video! The flying up and down the mountain was fantastic! Pellaire is cool. We'll check out your other videos. Cheers!
that's so impressive.
im thinking about this frame but worried about vibrations, how did u get rid of them and what parts did u use
Hi complete setup ?
Details in the video. Do you have some specific questions?
Do you know who I can contact to find out which LED strip Rudy used in Rudy's Hyperspace tunnel? Is there a way to contact Rudy in Germany?
Hmm... I'm no in contact with him. Maybe Jesse (Mr.TinyWhoop) is in contact with him. I do remember those guys talking about programming an Arduino controller so I'm guessing he used a strip of WS2812B addressable LEDs, or similar. ✌
Also another local s800 owner here in Chilliwack, just a quick question, what is that tape called that you have all over your wing? Thanks, and nice video....
HobbyKing hobbyking.com/en_us/wing-tape-45mic-x-24-mm-x-100m-narrow-green.html They have other colors too
Put it in the shrubs? Foreground movement will go faster. Or just try the mavic!
yeah I will be placing it closer to the ground next time. I sold my Mavic 2
Need to slide a little more to add 3D effect. Brilliant though.
Yes, I doubled the length of steps, and gonna place it closer to the ground next time, Thanks
Gorgeous area, nicely done. Is Taseko Lake accessible by a mid-sized SUV? Also, any random places to camp? Thanks 👍
The east road that passes near Taseko Lodge has been deactivated last year, that one was a long "rough" road down to the very tip of Upper Taseko Lake, very remote. There is a road that goes down on the west side of Taseko Lakes, that one is very easy access with any SUV, but is gated. You would need permission from the local band just down the road to get access.
there are quite a bunch of places to camp, yes Plenty of hunters go there all the time.
